Würth is main sponsor of FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021
23/02/21
From 23 February to 7 March 2021, athletes can compete for medals in the disciplines cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined at FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf. During the World Championships, Würth is not only present as partner of the German Skiing Association, but also as the main sponsor and official supplier of this highlight in winter sports.
"As early as 2002, we started sponsoring winter sports, and we are still fascinated by the combination of performance and technology. We will all be able to experience this interaction again on a very high level during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf. We are therefore very pleased to become active as sponsor of such a large-scale winter sports events for the first time and provide on-site support with our products."
Dieter Münch, member of the management of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG
As main sponsor of FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021, Würth will be prominently visible in all ski jumping events with the exception of Nordic combined, on the back wall at the start and at the exit gate. Additionally, the Würth logo will be displayed on selected competition numbers and on the touchlines during all competitions. Würth concluded a corresponding agreement with Infront, the exclusive marketer of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.
"This goes to show that the event and winter sports as a whole continue to be an attractive offer for top brands. Würth appreciates the value of combining its brand with one of the highlights of the winter sports season, and we are convinced that Würth will benefit from this event."
Michael Witta, Vice President Marketing Sales at Infront
On top, Würth is official supplier of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 and thus supports the organization of the competitions already in the run-up. Würth products and services are used in building the slopes, for the safety precautions along the cross-country ski runs as well as in setting up the bleachers and the necessary infrastructure on the competition premises.
A Würth Bauloc depot each is placed close to the ski-jump venue and the cross-country venue. In these stationary depots that look like containers, Würth stores materials, personal protective equipment, power tools and general tools precisely where they are needed, keeping distances short for volunteers and tradespeople.
"Thanks to the Bauloc containers we have everything available directly at the ski run. Nobody has to walk far and the volunteers do not have to leave the ski track. This makes our work a lot easier!"
Moritz Becker-Schwarz, managing director of Oberstdorf GmbH
